Fr. Emil Kapaun was a Catholic priest from Kansas who served as a U.S. Army chaplain in both World War II and the Korean War. During his service in Korea he was taken prisoner and died in a Korean prison camp in 1951 at the age of 35. In 2013, he was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service to the United States. Just last week it was reported that his remains had been identified, 70 years after his death. The story of Fr. Kapaun is so remarkable that MSNBC host Rachael Maddow decided to dedicate a segment to him. It’s worth watching. You can check it out here: https://vimeo.com/520259239
